This book on the protected forest of Dadia, is the first in our series “The Greek Nature we
don’t know”.
This series of albums aims to provide financial support to the biotopes of the future. Many of
those biotopes are threatened with destruction. Destruction of the environment is huge
problem of our times and yet to this day we have failed to realize its real extent.
We fill that we must contribute, each one in his own way.
Animals, plants, the water, the very air we breathe, they are all waiting.
They represent an important national resource and may well become invaluable in the near
future – if they survive.
We hope that the beauty of nature as represented in this book may awaken a spark of
concern in each of us.
